If you ever stalk me on Facebook, you've probably seen a few pictures of Jacob. A rising 5th grader, this boy is curious about everything, and you better believe that he will ask you every question he can possibly come up with. This boy is my absolute favorite. So today, my Little Wonder is my cousin Jacob.
Last night after dinner we went to visit his family, and it turned out he was sad that he didn't get to spend the day with us, so today we did things right. We picked him up first thing this morning and tooled around town, visited friends, and went to Lee's for lunch. He was just so content to be with Tori and I that it was refreshing. He has a loose tooth that made lunch interesting: its so cute to watch him try to eat while holding his finger against his mouth to keep the tooth in place. After we got back Pop took us to the Steamboat Era Museum, what a trip.
But, he just wanted to be with us, which made me feel really special. We don't really spend as much time with our extended family as I would like, and the fact that this boy wants to be with us made all the difference. And yes, after 6 games of UNO, he finally beat me. So, here's a big "thank you" to Jacob, thanks for making me feel at home here. I love you boy.
Also-a side Little Wonder of the day-fresh steamed crabs for dinner! Be jealous.
I am so blessed.
